Even with promotions and production companies such as ScoreMore Shows which was recently sold to Live Nation, the local “scene” in Austin is faced with a lackluster interest. The truth is that local event producers and bookers don’t often celebrate the hip-hop scene that is trying to break through the masses of indie-rock and indie-pop bands that saturate the market. Recently, however, a new festival is attempting to answer the question “Where’s ATX hip-hop?”
